Netball v Caythorpe

On Tuesday 31st March, the Church Lane Netball team played their final competitive game of the year. This was aginst Caythorpe Primary School, who finished in the same position as us in ther league. 

The game was played with such incredible sportsmanship from both teams - a great way to end the Netball playing year! 

Church Lane won the game 4 v 2 - their first win this year! Well done to all who played - your hard work and determination paid off! 

 

 

 

Final league tables 

All of the league fixtures for Football and Netball have now been completed. The final tables can be seen below. 

Both the Netball and Football team will now have one final match, against the team who finished in the same position in the other league.

Netball v Rauceby

On Thursday 5th February, the Church Lane Netball team travelled to Raucby for their final league match of the year. 

The team has been working really hard, against some difficult opposotion over the last few matches, but their resilience really shone through - never giving up inspite of the results. 

Rauceby were again another strong team, with excellent shooters. Church Lane showed amazing determination throughout and never gave up. They were unable to score in this match and Rauceby took the well deserved win 22 v 0. 

Football v William Alvey

On Tuesday 3rd February, the Church Lane Football team played William Alvey in the schools Football league. 

The game was close from the start, with both teams defending well - both keepers making some great saves. 

Eventually Church Lane took the lead, but William Alvey were able to get one goal back. But it was Church Lane's grit and determination that saw them take the win. 

Final score, Church Lane 2 v 1 William Alvey. 

Well done to all who played. 

Netball v Chestnut Street

On Thursday 29th January, the Church Lane Netball team travelled to Chestnut Street, Ruskington to play in a league Netball match. 

Chestnut Street were a very good side and Church Lane played well, improving as the game went on. Their hard work was rewarded with a goal near the end, but it wasn't enough to beat the opposition, who took the win 8 v 1. 

Football V Rauceby

On Tuesday 27th January, the Church Lane Football team played Rauceby in another league match. 

The game was closely contended, with both teams displaying some excellent skill. But it was Rauceby who managed to come out on top and narrowly take the win. 

Final score. Church Lane 1 v 2 Rauceby. 

Netball v Winchelsea

On Thursday 22nd January, Church Lane travelled to Winchelsea Primary School, Ruskington, for a Netball league match. The conditions were poor, with wind and rain, but this didn't stop both teams enjoying the game! 

Winchelsea played a very good game and had some excellent shooters. Church Lane persevered and were able to get a goal, which was met with huge applause! 

Final score Winchelsea 18 v 1 Church Lane. 

Football v Chestnut Street

On Thursday 15th January, the Church Lane Football team played Chestnut Street in a league Football match. 

Church Lane played to a really high standard, with some excellent passing, tackling and goals! 

Final score, Church Lane 3 v 1 Chestnut Street.
