Spring Term 2026
Week commencing 12th January
This week we have been looking at complex sentences in English using the conjunction if. We have also looked at different types of punctuation including brackets and exclamation marks.
In Maths we have been consolidating our understanding of the 2,4 and 8 times table, whilst focussing on multiplication and division.
In our afternoon lessons we have been looking at the first pillar of Islam in R.E, deconstructing images into shapes in Art and the location of the Ancient Civilisations in History.
Week commencing 5th January
This week we have been looking at a text called my strong mind. Our text is all about building resilience. To help us with building resilience we learnt how to make origami boats, this was tricky but we used our resilience and determination to help us.
In maths we have been looking at the 3 and 4 times table. We have learnt how to divide by sharing and grouping.
In the afternoons we have looked at animal diets in Science, where the Lake District is in Geography and learnt about different types of instruments in Music.
