Friday 11th September.
Welcome back. We hope you had a lovely break. The children have had a fantastic first week back at school and we have been really impressed with their attitudes returning to school. We have spent this week revisiting our behaviour curriculum and putting into practice our school and classroom rules. We began reading Varjak Paw and the children are thoroughly enjoying this story. In Maths we recapped some learning and began Place Value looking at 4 digit numbers and counting in multiples of 1,000.
Friday 18th September.
This week we looked at the Bass maltings in Sleaford during our History lessons. It was exciting for us to watch a video that took us inside the maltings. We continued our reading of the book Varjak Paw and are thoroughly enjoying it. Mrs Jones is proud of the children for reading so much at home.
Friday 25th September
This week we were lucky enough to see the League 1 trophy and have a drama workshop. In English we began a case of 'Who dunnit' and began looking at evidence and suspects to help us in our writing. We will eventually be writing non-chronological reports on our Diamond thiefs.
Friday 2nd October.
In our learning this week we have finished on our learning of The Highland Falcon Express and are excited to start our Police Reports. In Maths we began our learning on addition and subtraction and have been having a look at arithmagicians. The children all have their own logins which we will send home.
