Summer Term 2026

Week 1 20th April

Welcome back year 4 and to the Summer term. This week we began our new English book. We are writing a newspaper report all about magic! Friday was Holi festival and we had a great time!!

Week 2 27th April

We began swimming this week and the children really have done a fantastic job. They have all shown such amazing resilience and determination. We continued our learning in decimals and are becoming really confident in converting tenths and hundreths.

Week 3 4th May

We are enjoying our swimming lessons and are doing really well. We have been converting between decimals and fractions and our confidence has really grown. In History we are enjoying our learning on the Romans and why they invaded Britain.

Week 4 11th May

In Geography we are learning all about Southern Italy. We have been looking at the physical and human features and all about the climate. Science we have learnt about the ear and how sound travels.

Week 5 18th May

This week we bcame Romans in our Roman workshop. We took part in a variety of activities and learnt all about Roman army formations.

Half term-iSummer 2

Week 1 8th June

This week we begun our learning on Charlie and the Chocolate factory. We are loving it. In Science we have started to learn about electricity and are excoted to make some circuits.

Week 2 15th June

This week we learnt about Roman governance and compared them to the Celts. In Pe we are practicing for sports day and enjoying cricket.
