PE will be on Tuesday (Basketball - outdoors) and Friday (Gymnastics - indoors)
Children are asked to read at home 5 times a week and log these onto Boom Reader.

Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely summer break. Just two days in school this week, which gave the children chance to settle back into Church Lane life!
We started off the week by going through our 'Lessons in Behaviour', which teaches the children how to follow the school rules and the reasons behind them. Year 5 have been fantastic at remembering why we do what we do.
We completed some PSHE this week as well, looking at our Year ahead. We spoke about our goals for this year and how we can work hard to achieve them.
We started our first lesson of Maths, looking at Roman Numerals. We will continue with our Place Value learning next week.
We completed a Reading Assessment this week, to ensure everyone is on the correct reading group and we can support them moving throughout the year.
In Geography, we started our unit on the continents in America - beginning with North AMerica. We used atlas' to locate the continuent, countries and the surrounding oceans and seas.
