Week 1 - W.C. 4.1.2021

Spring 1

Below is the overarching best fit curriculum we will be working to this half term during at home learning. A new timetable will be published weekly at the side of this section for any children who are isolating or unable to attend. 

English:

Writing - 

This half term for English home learning we will be focusing on writing around ‘The Borrowers’ to match our fiction writing work in school. The links below will take you to the overall units and you can follow along the lessons when you complete them.

Reading -  

This half term for English home learning we will begin by focusing on reading for pleasure and enjoyment!

Our History topic and learning journey this term is Ancient Greece. We will be learning about this important civilisation including why we know so much about it, how it was organised, how they fought and what they believed in.

Geography:

Linked to our learning journey of Ancient Greece, we will be developing our locational knowledge of the hemispheres and tropics as well as Europe generally.

For week 4 (W.C. 30.11.20) - the home learning will be revisiting previous place value work before taking the perimeter and length assessment on Friday.

Science:

For Science we will be looking at electrical circuits including components and diagrams.
